Historical Curiosities versus Imperishable Text

This short essay describes how the field of literary studies was bifurcated by print practices at the discipline’s inception into the historically mimetic and the aesthetically superior, the former kinds of poetry appearing in books of curiositites, and the latter occuring in disciplinary anthologies.Downloads
